I have fallen in love with dies. I have recently purchased some intricate dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. I found a lattice die among all the intricate ones so decided to try this die out. Wow it cuts great. I didn't want to put to much else on the card so I just used a label punch and a small thank you but I couldn't resist the bling. I love bling too and I must say this card is full of it. I love it. The colors were colors that were used at a recent wedding we attended. Love these colors. So without further ado here is the card.
I am so loving this card. Thanks for looking.

Hope your weekend was wonderful. I have been making a lot of birthday cards and was going through some older ones that I have made in a class or on my own. I found a card where we added beads and I know I made this in a class but cannot remember where or when. Anyway, I decided I would add some beads to my birthday card. First I found the designer paper I wanted to use. It is from Echo Park Paper in a set called Country Drive. Oh so cute. Then I looked through my stashes of stuff and yes I have some beads. Not a lot but some. I found a couple of beads that matched the paper. What are the odds. The sentiments on the card are from long ago wooden stamps that have been converted to cling foam and I no longer know who made them. The top sentiment was punched in white and then I used the same punch in red. I cut the red in half and mounted to each side of the white. Added a few flowers and miracles or miracles it turned out to be quite a cute card.
Don't you just love those lady bugs. I attached the beads through the flower and onto the back of the red card stock and adhered it with regular tape. The black bead in the center of the other flower is just one that got away from a different project and I was tired of finding it in my way. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. Happy Monday everyone.

Hope everyone is have a fabulous weekend. Ours have been very busy. We went to a beautiful wedding on Saturday. Today I went and seen my daughter, Jennifer's, new townhouse. Wow it is really terrific. I am always struggling with cards for men so I decided I would use Stampin Up's set called Up Up and Away. I made two cards with the balloons. I used blue backgrounds because afterall the sky is blue. On the first card I couldn't help myself and used all but one of the balloons. I used dimensionals on three of the 5 balloons. I also used the clouds, birds and a the birthday sentiment on this card.
I have been trying to use up scraps and shapes that I have saved over time. I found this scrap where I had cut out a dimensional and it left a frame of sorts. After I trimmed it to size, I sponged pale blue ink, just a shade lighter than the card base, onto the frame. I then centered the balloon basket onto the card base popped up the balloon and then adhered the frame to the card base. I used Stampin Up new ink color, Midnight Muse for the sentiment and the birds that I placed on the frame. I think it turned out nice and clean and really like it
I guess I have found a wonderful set to use to make masculine birthday cards. Although I think these cards could be used for women or kids. It is just a versatile and very cute set. Now I am not a Stampin Up demonstrator but I have a lot of there stamps and enjoy using them especially when they are as versatile as this set.
If you haven't joined my site yet don't forget to do that so you have a chance to win a prize on Friday, August 3, 2012.

SNSS09 July Challenge
There is this wonderful site out there in computer land if you are looking for stamps or stamp supplies. They have there own brand and some really wonderful stamps. The company name is Sparkle N Sprinkle out of Florida. I purchased a set of Christmas stamps from them along with the matching Nestibilities dies. Well they also have monthly challenges and so I decided it was time to start thinking about that wonderful winter holiday we call Christmas and the stack of cards I want to make. Well I came up with this card using the sketch that Sparkle and Sprinkle provided. I love it. This card came together so quickly, it is just right if you have a lot of cards to make. First I found some holiday dp from my stash of gotta use this stuff up and then I used Versamark to stamp the image on red lettering weight paper. I then took my Sakura clear star pen and sparkled up the ornament. I then cut two ornaments with the Nestibilities dies. First was an ivory cut and the second was the red ornament. I aged the ivory cut with a little pale yellow ink (it matched the dp) and attached that to the card with the dp on it. I then used dimensionals and leaving just a small amount of the ivory cut showing, I attached the red ornament. I love this card and it just might end up being my Christmas card this year.

July 25, 2012
I am acting ditzy today. I just lost everything and had to start all over. I have been making cards like crazy. Well actually our friends, Donna and Mark Sobraske, are helping host the wedding of their son, Eric to his fiancee, Bridget. So I needed a card. I made two. The first one I used the colors in their wedding and got the idea from Pinterest.
Monogrammed towels, whatever happened to those? Anyway I used Mr & Mrs. and the towel bar is made from a thin strip of silver cardstock and attached with silver brads. I used Stampin Up Flourish embossing folder to make the towel. It is a really cute card.
I have been wanting to try making a more elegant wedding card so I started to go crazy with my Spellbinders Nestibilities. I used a Stampin Up stamp set called Word Play to stamp my sentiment. I do love bling so I played a small crystal on the ring in I do.
I am so excited to share this new product I found at a wonderful place called Sparkle N Sprinkle
They have an actual store in Florida but they also have an online store. Anyway to the product. It is called Mudd Puddles. Sparkle N Sprinkle is the first place that I have seen this product. I purchased the color called Fiji Beach. It is a wet product that dries but has flexibility. I just wanted to get going with it so I made a beach themed card.
The beach is a teal and sand colored. You spread it on the paper where you want it. I just made a beach. The Mudd Puddles dry in about an hour so you can work on the card. It is completly dry in a day. It really is what it says. It dries in the time it says and it is flexible so it won't come off. I can see all kinds of beaches made with this stuff. It also comes in lots of different colors. I can see using this for mosiacs. I think I am going to try that next. Well I want to buy a few more colors first. I used a Stampin Up stamp for the sail boat and my favorite sea saying but don't know where that came from. I also used a stamp of a sand dollar that I have had forever. I placed a pearl in the center of the sand dollar. It is a little poetic license there but I wanted to link the sentiment to the shell. Love the sentiment though and I have to say I love the card and cannot wait to use Mudd Puddles again.

Flowers
The next card was made from a set called Blooming with Kindness. I so love this flower.
Again I used the oranges and green. I think it turned out beautiful. The next cards were made with
Next I used the new in-color summer starfruit and gumball green. I also used summer sun ink. Bright and sunny card.
The last card is one that I cased from the Wickedly Wonderful blog. I used similiar colors and stamps. I didn't have the flower stamp that was used so I used the Reason to Smile stamp set again. I also used an Epiphany punch to make the flower center. I also changed the sentiment as well as the sentiment shape. I cute a thin strip of paper and threaded it through a punched hole in the star so that it appears to hang from the ribbon.
I almost forgot I embossed the dusty durango with the dotted embossing folder and then on the bottom piece I inked the flourish embossing folder and ran it through my Big Kick. I am so loving this technique of inking the embossing folder. It sure gives a different look. I think this card turned out amazing.

More cards
Well I have been busy. I am trying to organize my craft room and it has become quite the challenge. Although I have been downsizing I still have so many supplies. Of course all work and no play would not be fun so periodically I have been playing and here are 6 cards I create this week in between watching Cohen and checking out facebook and organizing. I wonder if I will ever be completely organized? Nah! Anyway just wanted to let you see what I have been up to.
As I have been going through stamps, I found this one that said please don't get rid of me. Really it said that. And since it looked like it hadn't been used I decided to hang onto it and created this wonderful card. The stamp is by alota Rubber Stamps. I stamped it with Stampin Up sunshine yellow and old olive ink. I then used nestibilities to cut the circle out and then a scrap of green paper was used to cut out the background scallop circle. I used clear accents in the center of the flower and sprinkled glitter in it. I then waited for it to dry ( I left it an entire afternoon) then put it on a card base. Easy.
This card got created because I was wanting to use up some precut card bases. I used a paper doily (dollar store) and punched out newsprint flowers with Stampin Up's mixed bunch pnch. It is hard to see on this photo but there is a small heart shaped button in the center that is tied with bakers twine and glued on the flower. The doily looked kind of bare and unfinished when my friend, Jeanne suggested that I stamp something in the center. Dah why didn't I think of that. It looks so much better. The flower is edged in green ink as well. It looks a little yellow here.
I got out my top note die from Stampin Up and cut a bunch of them out then added a flower and a banner that said happy birthday and was very happy with how the card turned out. Fast and simple yet very pretty.
Again I used the top note die, stamped a sail boat and used a little baker's twine and I think I have a very nice masculine birthday card.
Okay who can resist this stamp from Art Impressions. I have several golfing friends that I am going to make cards for with this one. I use two new Stampin Up In Colors, primrose petals and and raspberry ripple to color her clothes and for the card base. Really like how this turned out and oh yeah I used a pearl embellishment for the golf ball. So cute.

And now we come to Earl by Art Impressions. Have a young gentlement friend that is turning 90 this week and Bob plays golf every saturday with his haram, Linda, Shirley and Pam. So of course I needed to use a golfer for my focal image and then I free handed the 90th and the interior of the card because my computer decided not to cooperate.
Well that is all for this day but I will be back very soon.

Friday the 13th
Well it has been a while but Friday, the 13th, conjours all kind of scary mojo. It was however, a wonderful day. I have been working on a variety of cards and today I actually created one that I am going to submit to StampTV's free for all friday challenge, STV12FRI20 . The challenge is to make a masculine card, here is mine.
I used Gina K design stamp set "Enjoy the Journey." for the focal image. I wrote on the banner because I couldn't find just the right sentiment. The inside reads ... with a birthday Hi!. Again it is in my own hand writing. I think it turned out pretty cool.
I have been making a lot of cards but Friday, the 13th, Cohen came over while mom was at the chiropractor. Grandpa entertained the little guy, he sure likes to drive.
First he played in the boat but stopped for a graham cracker snack
He then moved to the car. Anything that little one wants to do Grandpa lets him.
So here are some of the other cards I have been working on.
This card was made with Stampin Up dp paper and stamps
This technique was demonstrated by Dawn Olchefske of stamping up. I really loved this card. It turned out beautifully
I love this stamp set Stampin Up's, Blooming with Kindness . It was done with a new Stampin Up in color Primrose Petals.
I decided I needed to start using some of my scraps so I got out my big shot and a couple of punches and created this card. The only stamping is on the inside Happy Birthday.
There are other cards that I am working on like a couple of birthday cards and a wedding card. I will be posting them later this week.

Heros, Thank You
Wow what a wonderful 4th of July and a great big thank you to the men and women that are serving in the military to keep us free. They are truly special people. We had our kids and Daves family over to celebrate. The idea was a picnic but it was so hot that we all ended up inside. We played games and really caught up with each other. It was great.
The heat has been hanging on here in Minnesota for several days and it really just makes a person not want to do much. However I just couldn't not do some card making. I decided to make a card for my dear friend Linda who lost her dog, Jessie earlier this week. Jessie was such a big part of Linda's life and the next few weeks will be a very difficult time for her so I thought I would send her a card to hopefully brighten her day.
Well once I got started I just didn't want to stop. I decided to participate in a challenge from CraftProjectsCentral. Challenge #13
This card was all made with Stampin up products. I used soft suede card stock. I then mounted the designer paper on very vanilla and used early espresso ribbon. I then stamped summer starfruit cardstock with summer starfruit classic ink pad using the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set. I then punched the flower out with the Stampin Up Mixed Bunch flower punch. I paper pierced around the designer paper and adhered the entire piece with dimensionals.
