This little cutie is my grandnephew, Asher.  It is a mini album in the shape of a camera that is also a birthday card.  

This is from a class I took.  It is a camera box and inside is a mini album.  They are so very cute.  I have made 6 more since the Disney one that I made in class.  Love this. 

These are just a few of the things that I have made during my hiatus from blogging.  I have learned many things about myself.  One being that I love paper.  There are so many companies out there that make beautiful paper.  There isn't enough time to use all that I currently have but let me tell you I am going to try.

I'mmm Back

 Hello,

It has been so since doing this blog.  I am hoping that I can find time to post paper projects on that I make for you.  I am in love with paper.  I never thought I would be so excited about such an ordinary thing, but I have to say PAPER is not ordinary.  So many beautiful papers are out there, and I just don't want to cut some of it up into pieces.

So, what have I been doing?  Well, I have taken some time for myself.  I have also taken some classes in paper projects.  I will show some photos of those.   I have also been doing a lot of genealogy.  Then there were the family reunions that my sister and I organized for our nieces and nephews and extended families.  Those were fun but the torch has been passed down to the next generation now which frees me up to do other things.  

Although genealogy takes up a lot of time, I intend to continue with a volunteer opportunity, that of co-coordinator of the Technology Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Villages Genealogical Society.  I say co coordinator but at this point I am leading the group alone.  I am hoping that by the time next fall rolls around someone will step up to the plate and help me with the group.  One would think that I am computer savvy, but I am not.  I can turn one on but that is about it.  I am able to do research on genealogy programs that are out there and so that is what we do in the Technology SIG.

Even with that, I am going to start using this blog for my paper things again.  As I said early there is so much beautiful paper out there and so little time.  I do plan to start out slow so look for a post once a week to begin with.  As I get back into the swing of things I will post more often

Sorry about missing Thursday.  Today I have wedding cards for you. Two of them. 

Of course they are made with Stampin Up stamps and dies.  The top card is made with Flourishing Phrases and the bottom card is made with the dies for Dragonfly Dreams and stamped with Flourishing Phrases.  I can't decide which one I like the best.   I have been staring at them both and love them both.  The inside sentiment is Good thing you get to bring your best friend along, Congratulations.  Let me know which one you like.

Hi everyone, it is Thursday and I have an incredible easy retirement card.  This card was made with

a Stampin Up Bundle called Birthday Blast.  I die cut the star blast and used the stamp set to Celebrate YOU!  On the inside I typed a retirement sentiment on white card stock and cut it to fit the inside.  Easy Peasy.  The Birthday Blast Bundle is quickly becoming a favorite for quick cards.

Hello everyone, another beautiful spring day in Minnesota. The above card is a birthday card I made for my mother-in-law to give to my grandson, Asher who will be 4 years old next week.  I used the Tasty Truck stamp set from Stampin Up.  It turned out rather sweet I think with the ice cream cones and the cupcake popped up.  I have really used this set a lot to make birthday cards and I know that I will use it again and again.  So this is my Tuesday card.  Hope You Enjoy!

Well Hello again.  It has truly been a very long time.  I no longer facilitate a class in card making so I sort of just let my blog go by the wayside.  Although I still make cards, I could never give that up, they are usually other people's designs but I have decided to get back in the game just for fun and will post a card every Tuesday and Thursday.  I hope you will start following me again and enjoy my cards and blog.

Additions

Well wouldn't you know I went and figured out what was going on with the additional pictures so here they are.  I had a fun time making all of these and I should mention that many I made more than one so Heartland will be getting 35 cards in the mail.  They use them to give to the patients that are having a birthday or sometimes a sympathy card for the family. 

The card is made with a Sale-A Bration set called You're Lovely and isn't this card lovely as well.   Can you tell I like my Stampin Up. 

Here we are using that Flower Shop stamp set and the Scallop Tag Punch.  As you can see this was a trickier card than most the others but once I learned the how-to's it was a piece of cake.  This was one of the cards that I did for my class and although many were apprehensive at first they ended up loving the card and how simple something so pretty can be.

 I used a technique on this card called stain glass.  I embossed in white on vellum, then turned it over and colored in the flowers on the backside.  It is such a cool technique and the picture doesn't do it justice.  I used Stampin Up products again.  A stamp called Easter Blessings, a border embossing folder, framelit dies and DSP.  This was another card that my class did.

I said earlier that I loved this older DSP and just couldn't resist using it along.  I did cut out some pieces and used dimensionals to give some dimension and then I used the Happy Day stamp set on the banner.

I guess I was trying to use up some of my scraps and boy did I ever.  This was is DSP and then the banner punch from Sale-A-Bration to make small flags.  Again the sentiment came from Happy Day stamp set.

I don't know about this one.  It turned out cute but it is unusual.  I made a mistake when I stamped the sentiment on the pool party flag and was going to throw the paper away and so I went kind of crazy with the sentiment.  I then added flowers and sun spots and decided it was a darn cute card.  Hope you agree.

 

This card was a culmination of scraps.  There is DSP on the card base, then an embossed rectangle and then a 3 flower, flower and to finish it off a small brown gem.  No stamping on this one. 

 

I leave the insides of these cards empty because the staff all will sign their names and sometimes they want to write a little something of their own.

Where is Waldo, I mean Pam?

Hi everyone I have been absent.   Well I mean that in a lot of ways but finally decided to pull myself together and get back to my life.  Actually, for the last several months my life has included teaching card making twice a month.  I work with a Stampin Up demonstrator, Kathleen Shea.  She makes two cards and I make two cards.  We make kits for all the participants and then on class day we go through everything and help the ladies make their cards.  I didn't realize how time consuming doing a class like this was.  I barely have time to make cards for other things.  I have also been going to some stamping classes and just joined an on-line group called StampNation with Catherine Pooler.  She is fabulous and the rest of her team is outstanding.  I really am learning a lot.  I also have been making cards for Heartland Hospice in Roseville, MN.  I have been very lax about working on their cards so I spent quite a bit of time this month making cards and that is what I am posting today.  I will post some of the other cards I have done for class later on.  For right now I am probably going to try and post once a week.  I don't know how people post more often than that except they are probably much more organized than I am. 

Oh and before I pull out the cards I made, we had visitors from the north a few weeks ago and I must post a few photos of some of the cutest boys on the planet, my two youngest grandsons, Cohen and Asher.  They both love the water as you can see.  Cohen is 3 and Asher is 10 months old.  So much fun and we really enjoyed having them visit.

 

 They both liked the Lego Store at Downtown Disney too. 

   
This card was made with the Flower Shop stamp set and punch from Stampin Up as well as their new Scallop Tag Punch and some of last years DSP.  I also used a Stampin Up stamp set that I just bought called Happy Day.

 

 

 Here is another Flower Shop, Happy Day stamps and Scallop Tag card.  Sort of just couldn't stop using them they are fabulous.

 Again I used the Flower Shop and Happy Day sets but used a scrap of DSP and Calypso Coral cardstock on Tempting Turquoise.  I really love this color combination.

 Well I have to say that I am totally in love with this card.  This is designer paper mounted on white card stock.  I stamped the words from Happy Day stamp set and the card was complete.   Sometimes it amazes me how simple yet so beautiful a card can be just with paper. 

 Now this card is using older DSP that is no longer available but it is still beautiful and it works well with the card stock that I used.  Of course I had to add one of the Flower Shop flowers that I punched out and Happy Days stamp set again.

  Now this card was done with scraps.  I had started to make a card and cut the card stock in the wrong place but I kept it (just in case you know) That is the Pool Party cardstock.  I used 4 Stampin Up flower punches on it and the Scallop Tag punch and the older DSP along with the Happy Day sentiment and I was so excited that I didn't throw that card stock away. 

 

 

This card I made with a retired Stampin Up set it is called He Is Risen.  I truly love this floral image.  The card turned out much better than the photo.

 

 

I do have more cards that I made for Hospice but am having a little trouble getting them to turn upright.  They show that they are upright but when they are moved over here they turn sideways again and so are difficult to see so I will post them later.  Until next time happy card making.

This has been a wonderful year for my family.  We were blessed with a new addition, Asher Dean Kaminsky on May 17.  We now have 4 grandsons.  Our oldest daughter, Jennifer, recently got a new job, our oldest grandson, Brandon, finally got the courage to take his driver's test, Blake our thirteen year old has a girlfriend and Asher's brother, Cohen is in love with trains just like his Poppa Dave.  Brian is working and doing all right and Katy and Andy sold their home and are starting the process of building a new home.  Today was Dave's 60th birthday and we celebrated by going to the trains at Bandana Square.  Tomorrow we will do a big family thing at Broadway Pizza, Dave's favorite food. 
I have been blessed with a wonderful family I couldn't ask for anything better. 

I am teaching a card class twice a month with a wonderful friend.  I enjoy this class so much.  I plan on placing all my designs on this blog as soon as I get my computer repaired so I can download photos. 

So for now I am putting up some photo's  of cards that may be a little old but cards that I love none the less.

I'm Baack

Well it has been some time since I last posted but be assured I have not been sitting idly by doing nothing.  I did golf in a league during the summer in Minnesota.  I golfed with the Osseo United Methodist Church women's league and what a great group of women they are.  I didn't improve my game but I sure enjoyed myself.  We also went on our annual Wisconsin Dells, Christmas Mountain adventure with the entire family.  It is usually a chaotic time but the grandkids love it and just don't want to stop going there.  Besides, I love the birthday present they create for me while we are there.  My birthday is in September and I have been getting a picture of my grandsons.  The first portrait I got was for my 60th birthday and it was a beautifully framed sepia tone of the 3 grandsons I had at the time.  Brandon, Blake and baby Cohen.  Well this year they surprised me with a canvas, which included Brandon, Blake, almost 3 Cohen and baby Asher.  There were also pictures of the entire family.

From left to right the back row is my son-in-law Andy, our daughter Katy, our son Brian and that tall one in the yellow shirt is grandson number one, 15 year old Brandon, our daughter Jennifer, grandson number 2, 13 year old Blake whose birthday we always celebrate at the Dells.  In the front is my awesome husband Dave and he is holding 2 year old Cohen and that is me holding the newest addition to our family Asher.  I am proud of all of them they work hard and have accomplished so much.  Well enough of that mushy stuff. 

We left MN in late September and headed east.  We decided that we were not going straight to Florida but detoured from our regular route and visited states that we had never been to before.  Our first stop was Indiana where we seen the Studebaker Museum (awesome place to visit by the way) and Notre Dame. The it was off to Cleveland, Ohio and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.  Then it was off to Niagara Falls, NY.  OMG we had the best time in Niagara Falls.  From the falls we spent a little relaxing time in Vermont where the fall is stunning.  From there we headed down south to Boston and visited our friends Muriel Moore and Lois Cavanaugh.  They are such wonderful ladies.  Of course we had to do a tour of Boston which exhausted us. And from Boston it was to Florida.  It was a fabulous way to get to Florida.  Next fall we will try a different route.

I just got a Samsung Note for my birthday so was playing around and taking pictures as we drove.  I think they didn't turn out to badly.  We had a wonderful time but we were both glad to get home to Florida.  There was plenty to do around the house.  It seems that we got struck by lightning and are having to replace all kinds of stuff or get stuff repaired.  Yikes. 

 

 I also was asked to fill in teaching a card making class for a lady whose husband is ill.  Of course I said yes so I have been busy with that and now I can show you some of the wonderful cards I have made.  Some for the class and others I made while taking a class.  I do love my card making.  I also love shopping for supplies.  3 friends, Shirley, Pat, Linda and I took a trip down to Ruskin, FL where there is a shop called Sparkle and Sprinkle.  We made a card and they have so much stuff oh my. Shirley has the picture of us in front of the store and I will have to get it from here.  Now before we get to the cards I should tell you that I do more than make greeting cards.  I go to plays and concerts and Dave and I go to one of the town squares to listen to music and dance.  Thanks to my prosthetist I am able to dance again and I am getting braver all the time.  Now on to the cards

 

Isn't this snowman cute.  Just started going to this class and this is called the chalkboard technique.  It was designed by Stampin Up Demonstrator, Carrie King.   I love him so much.

 A fellow that I golf with on Saturdays asked me to make his Christmas cards of which I was honored to.  However he wanted a Santa, a golf cart, golf clubs toys and a sled.  Well I looked all over for a Santa in a golf cart and there just isn't one to be found.  I even looked into having a stamp made (cost prohibitive) so this is what I ended up with.  Actually the card is better looking than the photo and I think it turned out great.  He liked them so much he asked me to make 6 more.  Bob is 91 so for him to purchase 26 cards was awesome.  I just wish I could have found Santa driving around in a golf cart.  After all I am in Florida.

Speaking of Bob, I made this card for his June birthday.  I love how it turned out.

I have a great, great niece that had a birthday and found this cute stamp set in Big Lake, MN at a store called the Stampin Place.  They make their own stamps there too.  I like how this came together.  I really had no idea what I was going to do but then the paper caught my eye and the little premade bows, it all just came together very well I think.

Another Stampin Up set called By The Tide.  It is a wonderful set to use when making masculine cards but the set could be used to make feminine cards as well.  I love the simplicity of this card yet it looks awesome.

This is my design.  I was playing around making flowers and die cutting swirls and doilies and decided to use them all on one card.  This is really outside my comfort zone but it came together quickly and in my opinion it is beautiful.  I used it for my oldest daughter, Jennifer's birthday

I made this card in a class which I attended.  We used the Wetland stamp set from Stampin Up and made this easel card.  I just love how this one turned out.

This card was my design.  I copied a technique that we did when I was in Ruskin.  We took two sided adhesive tape/paper and covered an entire image after we colored it.  I chose to do this cute snowman from Stampin Up's Best of Snow stamp set.  I used Sizzix dies and glossy paper to emboss snowflakes on.  I love it;.  I am having difficulty with non-traditional Christmas colors so for me this was a huge success

Here is another card I designed using Stampin Up's Santa's List stamp set.  He is a gorgeous Santa and there are so many other ways to use him as you will see next

This card was designed by my friend Linda Gibb.  I loved the background paper that tells The Night Before Christmas.. 

This is the Christmas card that I sent out this year.  I found the design on Heartfelt Creations Blog.  I liked the idea of not coloring in everything and thought that it would be a quick card to make since I send out over 100 cards.  Boy was I fooled.  This card took me hours and the help of my friend Shirley to complete.  I wanted to add a little sparkle so I used a product from Sparkle and Sprinkle called Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter.  Oh my

this glitter is so soft.  Amazing stuff.

Well this was an unusually long blog since it has been such a long time.  I will have more cards next week. So I hope people will take a look at these and enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making the cards and the memories.

Well wouldn't you know I made the card and totally forgot to get a photo and post.  Here it is. 

I can't take credit for this design.  It was a card a demonstrator, Jackie Walker, sold at one of the flea market's in Florida.  I needed an Anniversary card so I thought this was just the ticket.  The pick card stock was embossed with the Stampin up rose embossing folder.  I think this is the first embossing folder that Stampin Up came out with.  I stamped a script on whisper white paper and placed the embossed cardstock over that.  I then added a sentiment label and highlighted that with two black brads. 

I do love how this turned out and plan to use the idea again and again.
