I told you I was going to visit a store in Eustis, FL. called My Favorite Things, web site www. mftstamps.com . It is a fabulous store with lots of stamps and dies. The card I made is from a die and a stamp set that I got there. I hadn't planned on buying but once in that place I couldn't resist
It looks much better in person but it is so cute
Enjoy

Just one card for today as I must get ready and pick up my pal Linda. We are going to Eustis, FL to a store called My Favorite Things. Linda tells me I will love it. She has been there only once and spent way over her budget for crafting supplies. I will let you know more about this wonderful place tomorrow.
So this card was crafted from some things that I had made a while back and put aside thinking who knows I might use them. Boy am I glad I saved them. I love this card and hope the recepient does to.
I embossed the white with the tiny dot folder and then I embossed the hot pink with a different embossing folder just to try it. I used punches for the hearts and a banner die for the LOVE YOU. Then I found this rose ribbon that I love, love, love and added that. Never know what you can make from left overs. I think this is one of my favorites.
Until tomorrow

Worked on some valentine cards this weekend because heaven forbid I would get them done early.
I wanted to send my grandsons a little money so I thought I would use the money as the arrow and then put another arrow underneath but after looking at it I wasn't so thrilled with it. So I am looking for ideas from anyone that would like to share about using money as part of the card.
So I took the money out added hearts and be mine to the heart and put the money inside. I like it better, much better.
I made this card for another of the grandsons. He is two and likes balloons and is very kissable.
This is for the other grandson. I like the honeycomb embossing folder from Stampin Up. I mounted it on white card base, added a red glimmer heart and a love you banner and I think it turned out great.
So after that, and when Dave got home from pickleball, we went down to Kissimmee and visited to wonderful ladies that are visiting from Massachusetts. Their flight was the last one to leave RI before they closed the airports. They are staying at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club. We had lunch and then played bingo at the resort. None of use went away winners but we had fun and enjoyed Muriel's and Lois' company.
This is a picture of all four of us. Muriel is the tall one and will be 80 year's old on Feb 23 and Lois will be 85 on April 19. They are two impressive ladies traveling by themselves. I love it and them.

Well I am back from my wonderful cruise and my company has returned to the cold weather of Minnesota. The cruise was awesome. We stopped at Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Labadi, Haiti. We danced nearly every night to Rocky and the Rollers. A tremendous group of musicians.
Night one was a casual night in the dining room and everyone wore their Rocky and the Rollers T-shirts.
Another bit of news, it is my grandson, Cohen's 2nd birthday today. In the picture above, Cohen is getting ready to watch his Poppa Randy and the band that he plays with. Cohen also likes to play Poppa's drums but his Aunt Jenny got him his own mini set for Christmas. He sure is growing fast. I really want to thank my daughter, Katy for putting the video on my facebook page. I didn't want it to end. I also want to thank my daughter, Jenny for telling me about the birthday party. Blake helped Cohen eat his cake and then Cohen and Jenny played hide and seek with Brandon looking for them.
Well enough about family. I decided that today was the day to start my own cards. I have several birthdays coming up so I wanted to get started on them. I do like to make one of a kind cards so that ends up causing a little stress of coming up with something different all the time. Today I came up with this Rock and Roll birthday card.
I knew I wanted to use the embossing folder that looks like tire tread. I wanted it in silver though so it looked sort of like the metal on some toolboxes. I didn't have any silver paper so instead I took a light weight piece of greyish cardboard and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls Mist. After it was dry and run through the cuddlebug I got the exact look I wanted. I then embossed a sheet of black with the striped embossing folder and mounted the sprayed rectangle onto the black. I them mounted the black onto a white card base. I found an acrylic stamp of a winged skull and stamped it in black and cut it out. I stamped the sentiment on white and then mounted that onto a red banner. I wanted to add a little color so that is why the banner.
Hope you like it. Have a great day and I will have a new card on Monday.
