Well I have been working really hard to get some of my own stuff done so that I could at least put something out there every other day.  I am putting my grandson's second birthday card out there but shhhhh it's a secret because his birthday is not until the 9th of February.
Cohen loves, loves, loves Elmo.  So of course I had to make him an Elmo card.  I think he turned out pretty good.  I used punches and the computer.  I adhered Elmo between the 2 and the C because that was who brought the birthday to us.  I used a round scallop punch to cut out 2 circles then I cut one circle in 1/2.  I used the large oval punch and cut that in 1/2 and did a little trimming for him mouth.  A 1 inch circle of orange cardstock for his nose and two 1/2 inch circles created him eyes.  I used a 2/16inch punch to create the black circles in his eyes.  The DP is from stamping up.  I frames the Elmo piece in black just to give it a little bump up.  Hope you like it.

I made the card below from scraps after working on Christmas cards.  A Stampin Up Demonstrator, Jackie Walker used the corner punch on one of the cards I did in her class and I thought what a wonderful idea for that punch.  I have had it a long time and just never liked using it but watch out now.  I added a punched out butterfly and then I used the gold glimmer paper to outline the thank you banner.  All products on this card are from Stampin Up.

Well that is it for today.  I am hoping to post on Friday but will have company that is coming along on the cruise that my husband Dave and I are taking.  We leave on Sunday and return the following Sunday.  I hope you enjoy my cards as much as I do making them.

Hello

Well it has been a really long time.  I have been making cards for you to critique for me but I just haven't but them on the blog.  Well that has to change so this morning I got up early and downloaded cards that I have made using my own ideas of course and will be putting them on the blog once again.  Of course, I will be going on a cruise in a week but then watch out ladies and gentlemen because once again I will be on a mission to provide you with some ideas for card making.

Today I have a card I made for my husband's cousin who turned 80 years young.

I mounted 6 one inch squares onto brown card stock leaving a 1/4 in space in the middle.  I then mounted the brown card stock to the card base.  I took a rectangle of white card stock and stamped my sentiment and then mounted the white to more brown card stock leaving just a narrow strip of the brown showing.  I then took and punched a 1 inch square from white card stock and used stickers for the 80 and mounted that onto more brown card stock leaving just a narrow strip of the brown showing.  I centered the sentiment in the middle of the multicolored squares and offset the 80th square.  I really like how this turned out.  I want to thank StarAnne Bohl for the inspiration for this card.  She sent me a card with the multicolored squares and I liked it so much I wanted to use a variation of it.  Thanks Star.

Now for my second card.  It could be used for just about anyone but I am sending it off to my nephew Troy for his birthday on the 29th so I am including it in my masculine card group.
I used a yellow card base and then took some Stampin Up Designer Paper from the Patio Party package and mounted a rectangle to blue card stock and mounted that to the card base.  I stamped my sentiment on white card stock and punched it out with an oval punch.  I used pop up dimensionals to mount the sentiment so that I had a little dimension on the card.  It is still mailable without adding extra postage.

Well kind followers that is it for today.  Thanks for following my blog and please leave a comment
